First 10 mins - piled on the pressure. Two pens but ref was blind
Next 35 mins - it was back and forth between the teams as the sea battered against the cliffs only 1000m away from the pitch and the rain poured. We continued to be resolute until a through ball chipped Vikki. We kept our heads up and remained defensively solid, our midfield battled hard, especially Maya who laid of a pass to our front player Lily who was just whiskers off. Unfortunately the open nature of the game meant that they had a break through in the 40th minute to make it 2-0 before half time.
Second half, we start strong, moving the ball in quick. The pressure remains for 15 minutes until Annabel lays a ball off to Maya S-P who cuts it back for Lily to bury it in the bottom corner. The goalkeeper complained for an unknown reason, but we were used to Abs complaining for no known reason by now. We continued to fight and push but couldn’t make the breakthrough for the all important goal. It finished 2-1.
