We always knew today was going to be a tough game coming up against a strong side. The girls started with great pressure which led to us securing possession in the first 20 minutes of the game.
A great follow up shot by Millie secured us the 1-0 we deserved, however we didn’t stop there. We regained possession of a poor goal kick leading to Lola beating her defender on a 1-1 and smashing it into the side netting putting us in a very comfortable position going into half time.
In the 2nd half the girls took some time to get control of it as Solent looked good going forward. However we managed to stop that attack and turn it into a very quick counter attack. With Roxanne running forward and finding the cross securing another goal. Solent didn’t give up though and managed to make a breakthrough scoring an excellent goal from 30yards out which our keeper couldn’t stop leading to the final score being 3-1 to the 3s. Great result for our 1st home match which lead to some muddy celebrations!
